Our client is dedicated to transforming the landscape of angel investing in Africa by empowering and educating women to become sophisticated investors. Through their comprehensive programme, RTA offers women the opportunity to build diversified investment portfolios and receive mentorship from experienced female angel investors. 

Operations Management

Fund Accounting and Reporting (40%)

  • Assist in fund accounting processes, including record-keeping, valuation, and financial reporting.

  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual fund reports, helping with performance analysis and portfolio updates.

  • Aid in providing analytical support to the investment team, contributing to insights that inform portfolio management decisions.

Investor Relations (30%)

  • Support the primary point of contact for fund investors, helping to respond to inquiries and process subscriptions and redemptions.

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of RTA's investment funds, including capital calls and distributions.

  • Contribute ideas for improving RTA's fund operating model and infrastructure.

Compliance and Risk Management (20%)

  • Help ensure that all fund activities adhere to regulatory requirements, fund governing documents, and industry best practices.

  • Assist in maintaining internal controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate operational risks.

  • Research industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in alternative asset fund management.

Technology and Process Improvement (10%)

  • Support the use of technology solutions to streamline fund operations and enhance data management and reporting capabilities.

  • Contribute ideas for improving RTA's fund operating model and infrastructure.

Operations Management

    • Recently completed a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

    • Strong academic background with a keen interest in fund operations, private equity, or venture capital

    • Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles

    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

    • Familiarity with basic legal and compliance concepts related to investment funds

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with financial software is a plus

    • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
