Group Operations Manager
Strategic Operations Management
Develop and implement innovative operational strategies to drive growth and efficiency across the holding company and its portfolio companies in Real Estate, Logistics, and Energy.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities and optimise existing processes within each sector.
Lead cross-functional projects that align with the company's strategic goals, ensuring synergy between different portfolio companies.
Conduct regular performance reviews of portfolio companies and implement improvement strategies to achieve efficiency gains of 15-20% annually.
Administrative Leadership
Oversee all administrative functions of the holding company, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Develop and maintain efficient administrative systems and processes across all portfolio companies.
Manage relationships with external service providers and vendors.
Coordinate and organise board meetings, annual general meetings, and other corporate events.
Human Resources Management
Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the business objectives of each portfolio company.
Oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development across the group.
Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits packages.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and diversity throughout the organisation.
Drive diversity and inclusion efforts across all portfolio companies to ensure a representative and equitable workforce.
Manage employee relations and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations in Ghana.
Financial Oversight and Compliance
Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, financial reporting, and key performance indicators for operational activities across all sectors.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations across all business units in Real Estate, Logistics, and Energy.
Identify and mitigate operational risks to safeguard the company's assets and reputation.
Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements across the group.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and regulatory bodies in each sector.
Represent the company at industry events and forums to enhance its market position and reputation in Real Estate, Logistics, and Energy.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in Real Estate, Logistics, and Energy to drive innovation within the organisation.
Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness across all portfolio companies.
Encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption between portfolio companies.
Group Operations Manager
Has a proven track record of operational leadership in diverse business environments, preferably with experience in Real Estate, Logistics, or Energy sectors.
Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving across multiple industries.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of various industries and their operational challenges, particularly in the Ghanaian context.
Excels at building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, multi-company setting.
Has exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to see both the big picture and the detailed operational requirements.
Is adaptable and thrives in an environment of constant change and growth.
Has strong intercultural communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, international environment.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant master's degree strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven expertise in HR management, financial oversight, and strategic planning across multiple business units or companies.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams across different sectors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of local Ghanaian languages is an advantage.
Proficiency in data analysis, performance management tools, and ERP systems.
Experience working in or with holding companies is highly desirable.
