Our client is dedicated to transforming the landscape of angel investing in Africa by empowering and educating women to become sophisticated investors. Through their comprehensive programme, RTA offers women the opportunity to build diversified investment portfolios and receive mentorship from experienced female angel investors.

Investment and Finance

Investment Analysis (30%)

  • Assist in conducting financial modelling and valuation analyses of potential investment opportunities.

  • Support the evaluation of financial statements, business plans, and market research data to assess investment risks and opportunities.

  • Help prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.

Financial Reporting (25%)

  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Assist in monitoring portfolio performance and contribute to regular updates for stakeholders.

Market Research (20%)

  • Help perform market research and competitive analysis to identify investment trends and opportunities.

  • Assist in tracking industry developments and economic indicators that could impact investment strategies.

Due Diligence (15%)

  • Support due diligence processes by gathering and organizing relevant data.

  • Assist in coordinating with external consultants, legal advisors, and other stakeholders during due diligence.

Portfolio Management (10%)

  • Help in monitoring the existing portfolio of investments.

  • Contribute to ongoing analysis and recommendations to optimize portfolio performance.

Investment and Finance

    • Recently completed a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.

    • Strong academic background with a keen interest in investment analysis, venture capital, or private equity.

    • Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn other financial software.

    • Basic understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and investment risk management.

    • Interest in the African startup ecosystem and eagerness to learn about key players and trends.

    • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work effectively within a team and with external stakeholders.

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

    • Enthusiasm for learning about financial modelling, market research, and competitive analysis.
