We are seeking an inspiring and visionary Director to lead our non-profit organisation into its next chapter of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leadership roles, with a passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and social change. As Director, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision of the organisation, ensuring operational excellence, and championing our mission to create meaningful, lasting change.

Director

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute IAF's strategic plan in alignment with our mission and goals.

  • Drive innovative initiatives that expand our impact on entrepreneurship, product leadership, and employment creation.

  • Cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, private sector partners, and international organisations.

Fundraising and Resource Development:

  • Lead and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including identifying and securing grants, donations, and corporate partnerships.

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring consistent engagement and communication.

  • Explore and secure new funding opportunities that align with the organisation’s strategic goals.

Programme Design and Implementation:

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of programmes that support IAF’s mission.

  • Ensure programmes are impactful, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the communities we serve.

  • Monitor and evaluate programme outcomes, making data-driven decisions to enhance effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and international partners.

  • Represent IAF in public forums, conferences, and media engagements to advocate for our mission and expand our influence.

  • Foster strong relationships with the Board of Directors, staff, and external partners to ensure collaborative success.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and accountability.

  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure strong governance and adherence to organisational policies and legal requirements.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on the organisation's performance, challenges, and opportunities to the Board.

Innovation and Thought Leadership:

  • Act as a thought leader in entrepreneurship and social innovation, staying ahead of trends and integrating cutting-edge practices into IAF’s programmes.

  • Encourage and foster a culture of innovation within the organisation, promoting creative problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Position IAF as a leading voice in global discussions around entrepreneurship, product leadership, and employment.

Sustainability and Longterm Planning:

  • Ensure that all programmes and initiatives are designed with sustainability in mind, creating long-term value for the communities served.

  • Lead efforts to reduce the organisation’s environmental footprint, aligning IAF’s operations with best practices in sustainability.

  • Identify and develop new strategic opportunities to expand IAF’s reach and impact, including potential geographic expansions or new programme areas.

  • Engage with academic and research institutions to collaborate on studies and reports that further IAF’s mission and enhance its credibility in the field.

  • Prepare the organisation for future challenges and opportunities by continuously assessing the external environment and adapting strategies accordingly.

Champion DEI Initiatives:

  • Ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to IAF’s culture and operations, including in recruitment, programme design, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develop and implement DEI policies and practices that reflect the organisation’s commitment to social justice and equity.

Director

    Experience:

    • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the non-profit sector or a mission-driven organisation.

    • Demonstrated success in fundraising, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement.

    • Strong background in entrepreneurship, product development, or employment creation is highly desirable.

    • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a leadership role either in the for profit or non-profit space.

    Skills:

    • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.

    • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial reporting.

    • A commitment to innovation, impact, and social justice.

    Education:

    • A degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred. An advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
